Fahrenheit 9/11

I would say that the information and evidence that Moore provides in his Fahrenheit 9/11 is accurate but it is presented in a way that is misleading. He uses many propaganda techniques to convince the viewer that his point of view is correct in that the Bush administration did not act effectively to the 9/11 terror attack. Techniques that were used in the propaganda efforts were those like using specific music that portrays humility towards president Bush and using pictures that may look like he's exploiting Bush when really Bush was doing nothing wrong. We must credit though Moore for his ability to use accurate information and manipulate it in a way that we believe in what he is saying. None of his data is false and the documents were not made up, he is just good at manipulating things and using what he has.

  1. It's really interesting that he was able to twist all the info he had to make bush look bad. Glad we had a look at both sides with the other video.

  2. I agree with this I think that Moore did exaggerate a lot of things but they were true. I also noticed that when Bush was in the elementary school and Moore did the counting of 7 minutes it wasn't really Bush's fault he waited that long... 1. because when they notified him of the first crash no one knew if it was a terrorist attack yet so there was really nothing Bush could have done that wasn't already being done. I think Moore did an amazing job stating his opinion and stating tons of facts but we also have to look at it from Bush's side and we can't really accuse him of something when he is the only person that knows what he was thinking during the attacks.

  3. I totally agree with you Zach. Michael Moore's film was very different from "On Native Soil". All of Mr. Moore's information was truthful but he did put thoughts into George W. Bush's head as well as delay the response time to make him seem like a bad guy and display his opinion. I think Bush did make some wrong decisions though but not as horrible as Michael Moore portrays. Michael is more intellectual than what people make him out to be and you can tell by his manipulating skills. I think the two videos gave us a great view of both sides of the story just like Idrees stated in his comment.
